While Notre Dame is clearly out of its depth against football powerhouses like Air Force and Navy, you have to give some credit to their athletic department administrators for their forward thinking. How else to explain their decision to dump Northwestern, another program that would have crushed the Irish this season, from the schedule and slip
Duke into the mix. They were even smart enough to slot Duke for their final home game to ensure the seniors didn't go out with a winless record this year for the home crowd. Well played.
